Building Closings & Temp. Housing for Thanksgiving Break

October 28, 2013 Bloomington, IN

Even though most residence halls will close for the break at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 23, temporary housing will be available for those residents who will not be leaving campus. The buildings will reopen at 8 a.m. on Saturday, November 30. There is no center desk, food, or mail service during the break period.

Residents of Ashton, Briscoe, Collins, Eigenmann, Forest, Foster, McNutt, Read, Rose, Teter, and Wright staying on campus for a portion of or the entire break must move to temporary accommodations which typically consist of a space in a floor lounge along with other students. Space is limited, and residents are strongly encouraged to make a reservation as early as possible. A non-refundable fee of $100 is billed to the resident's bursar account when the reservation is made. The deadline for reservations is 5 p.m. Wednesday, November 20. Residents will receive a confirmation and assignment no later than Friday, November 22.

RPS apartments and Willkie will remain open and residents may remain in their apartments or rooms. Residents of Willkie, Mason Hall, Union Street Center, and Hillcrest who plan to stay for part or all of the break are asked to contact their respective center desk to notify management of their plans. Residents of BBHN, Campus View, Evermann, Redbud, Tulip Tree, 3rd & Union, and University Apartments are not asked to report their plans to their respective center desk.
